How
to use the Internet for research
1. Decide
on a few short phrases related to your search topic. Use these phrases with search engines such as Lycos or Infoseek
since these specific engines return articles in their search
results. Make sure that you conduct your search correctly by
using quotations around your phrase or a string of words attached
with plus signs.
2. Make
sure you read several articles pertaining to your topic and
that you feel that the information you are reading is from a
reliable source. Remember
anyone can put anything on the Internet whether or not is a
fact.
3.
Compare the facts that you find in several articles,
if you are going to use them in a paper or on your site you
should write the author of the article for permission.
